Shores Public Library Branch Mission Statement
The Temiskaming Shores Public Library provides access to timely
information, opportunities for personal enrichmnent and lifelong
learning, and is adaptable to the changing needs of the community.
In order to provide effective service to the City of Temiskmaing
Shores it is necessary to meld the community's needs and expectations
with the library's services, resources, and capabilities.

About
the New Liskeard Branch
The
New Liskeard Branch was designated in 1983 a Heritage Building.
The New Liskeard Branch building was erected in 1910 through
the assistance of a grant from Andrew Carnegie.
Local Limestone was used in the construction and it remains
a classic example of the Carnegie Libraries.
Much of the original character and charm has been retained in
the exterior and interior of the building.
The library is situated downtown New Liskeard on Whitewood Avenue.

About
the Haileybury Branch
The
Haileybury Public Library was incorporated by the Town of Haileybury
in 1937.
Membership is approximately 4,500
The number of books and periodicals are approximately 40,000
books. We also provide talking books and videos in French and
English and a special collection of "Self-Help" materials.
Special Programs:
Story hour for tots - Friday 10:30 - 11:30 am.
School classes are invited to make regular visits.
Special events for National & Provincial Book weeks.
